Experience

Dion was the CEO and Founder of the Cape Group, a niche Human Capital consulting business, which he established in 2004. Between 2004 and 2014 he led the expansion of the Cape Group into the Asia Pacific region. Clients included, University of Sydney, Woolworths, Standard Chartered Bank, BHP Billiton, ANZ Bank, Westpac Bank, AMP, and Bank Mandiri.

Before he founded the Cape Group, Dion was a partner at Deloitte. From 2001 to 2003, he held the position of Regional Director for Human Capital for the Asia-Pacific and Africa Region, where he was part of the regional management team. In this role, he was focused on building the Human Capital practice across the region, the role included sales and delivery of large HR Transformation projects.  He also led Deloitte’s ERP Learning and Change practice for the Western region in the USA from 1996 to 2000. He played a key role in developing Deloitte’s global eLearning practice in 1999.  

Dion has in-depth knowledge and experience in HR processes, Organisation design, HRIS and integrated talent management systems. Over the course of his career he has been involved in the implementation of over 20 ERP systems projects, either from the project management, process, change management or training side.

Key clients he has been involved with include Standard Chartered Bank (HR Technology Strategy & Roadmap), International SOS ( HR Target Operating Model and Organization Design), Suntory (Organization Design of Regional Operating Model) Petronas (Strategic Workforce Planning and Metrics), Ogilvy & Mather (China) and Ericsson ( HR Analytics).
